Abstract

We designed and fabricated a compact spectrometer based on a gradient grating period guided-mode resonance filter (GGP-GMRF). The GGP-GMRF of 2.23 mm long consisted of gratings with periods varying from 250-388 nm in 2-nm increments. With such compact size, the device can measure spectrum ranging from 506 to 700 nm.
