Abstract
Mobile nursing has been a well-noticed but still emerging and exciting care delivery model for nursing. Nursing using mobile information technology such as notebooks, handheld devices, and mobile carts has been naturally designed and well documented due to the features of point of care provided by nurses (Lu et al., Int J Med Inform 74:409-422, 2005). Many design issues for useful mobile nursing have also been studied and reported (Chang et al., Comput Inform Nurs 29(3):174-183, 2011). Quality issues such as patient safety and medication administration also stimulate the use of mobile technology such as barcode readers. Various kinds of mobile nursing products and solutions can also be easily found on websites. It will not be a surprise that mobile nursing has and should become a very important care delivery model for nurses at practice today and the future.
