Abstract

Carbon nanopapers, the macroscopic thin-film assemblies of carbon nanomaterials including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanofibers (CNFs), or graphene oxide nanosheets have been recognized as a promising platform to transfer the exceptional mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties of carbon nanomaterials at the nanometer scale to macroscopic engineering applications. This chapter provides an overview of advances in academic and industrial research on carbon nanopapers, with a focus on CNT nanopapers, as well as their nanocomposites, manufacturing, properties, and potential applications in industry.
