Assistant Referee System in Da-Qiang(Pike) Competition

Abstract

The martial arts, especially pike type, have been an important technique in the cold weapon age in Eastern battlefields. In regions like China, martial arts manuscripts left by individuals from past generations, including pike. It is carrying on the cultural memory of this kind of skill. Today, this inheritance of pike martial art in Taiwan has evolved into an emerging competitive sport rooted in traditional Chinese martial arts: Da-Qiang(Pike) competition. With advancements in scientific and technology, the key endeavor in promoting this culturally significant sporting event is the establishment of an effective assistant referee system to ensure the smooth operation and fairness of the competition. This paper outlines the origins, rule design, and the use of IOT devices in Da-Qiang( Pike) competition, and then explains the operational process of the assistant referee system.
