Abstract

The prevalence of user authentication in web applications has resulted in excessive exposure of user identities. We introduce adaptive identity management, a novel framework that replaces rigid authentication systems with dynamic, user-controlled pseudo-identities to protect user privacy in web applications. Pseudo-identities are tunable, degradable, and designed to adapt to varying contexts, ensuring seamless personalization and heightened security for sensitive features. By minimizing identity exposure, this approach strengthens privacy protections and empowers users with granular control over their digital footprint.
