Abstract
The paper presents the architecture/experimentation of a 10-Gb/s QoS-enabled almost-all-optical packet switching system (QOPS) for metro WDM networks. Facilitated with downsized optical buffers and optical packet preemption, QOPS achieves superior packet-loss probability and QoS differentiation.
