Abstract
In this paper, we propose a low-complexity LMMSE channel estimator to for OFDM systems. First, we perform the time domain least-squares channel estimate. Then, we detect the non-zero channel taps and filter the detected non-zero channel taps. This method does not require channel statistics and matrix inverse operations. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method is close to that of the conventional LMMSE estimator with known channel statistics.
