Abstract

This paper proposes an efficient approach to image fusion for image stabilization, suitable to hand-held consumer electronics applications. To assure image stabilization, we synthesize a good quality image by fusing several short-exposed degraded dark images of the same scene. Due to the low computational power on hand-held consumer electronics, we take the computational efficiency as the main design factor to elaborately redesign each procedure of the conventional image fusion algorithms. The experimental results reveal that our approach is not only executed efficiently but also capable ofgenerating good quality images.
