失智症患者的長期照護服務模式

Based on the increasing of numbers and long-term care needs, this article describes the available kinds of long-term care services for dementia patients. The long-term service model consisted of family care, community care (including daycare centers, home care, respite care, assisted living, group dwelling or home, adult foster care home, residential care facilities, and hostel), and institution care (including nursing home, and special care units). From this article, we hope government, service provider, and professional could recognize the way of getting necessary and continuing care are building a diverse service model and connecting the linkage among varied services model. Consequently, these organization and people could take responsibility to improve the quality of long-term care for dementia patients and family members.
