Abstract

As the stereo offensive tactics is developed, the volleyball offensive tacitcs enters into a new mile stone. The offensive effect (OE) is often influenced by spike style (ST), offensive formation (OF) and sideout offensive (SO)/ transition offensive (TO). The study aims to investigate the TO of ST, organized/unorganized OF (OOF/UOF) and SO/TO. The subjects are the athletes from the top 4 teams-Korea, China, Japan and Chinese Taipei, in 2004 Asian Men's Volleyball Challenge Cup. By video tape conjectured, the five offensive styles were accounted. Meanwhile, descriptive statistics, such as frequency, mean, standard deviation, for example, was performed to find their differences. Also, one-way ANOVA analysis was used to find the differences between the teams. Two-way ANOVA analysis was performed to compare ST, OT, with five SO. The importants results include: (1) SO and styles in top 4 teams, the frequency of SO in No. 4 is the most and No.3 in SO follows. In style, No. 4 is the most in long-line SO and No.4 in adjusted SO follows. (2) In general, Chinese Taipei is significantly different from and less than the others in offence. However, China and Korea are better than Chinese Taipei. (3) In back-row offence, Chinese Taipei is significant difference from and less than China and Japan. (4) No matter sideout offence or transition attact, sideout offence is significant difference and less than transition attact, meanwhile, in both, sideout offence and tactics offence of No. 3 are better than back-row offence in offence.
