1. Stem cell differentiation and cancer metastasis: We focus on the topic of the mechanosensitivity of integrin-based focal adhesions, which allow cells to sense and translate biochemical and physical cues from their environment (extracellular matrix components, stiffness or organization) into cellular biological signals that control cell behavior, differentiation, and death. My group focus on investigating how the signals of integrin-based focal adhesions regulate stem cell fate, myogenesis and cancer metastasis.
2. Development of wound healing materials: We have developed a patented method to purify fibronectin. Using the purified fibronectin, my group keep developing the medical materials for wound healing.
