1.The major responsibility of the Language Teaching and Research Center (LTRC) of NCTUis on teaching and researching. Specifically, LTRC provides Listening, Speaking,Reading, and Writing courses for college freshmen, advanced English elective courses,and other foreign language courses for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
LTRC is also authorized by the government to offer adult education courses in order to promote learning in the neighboring community. Besides, through the inspiration from professional teaching experiences, we take English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP), Curriculum Design and English Teaching as our main research focuses. For the time being, the center is equipped with a Video on Demand (VOD) system providing resources for both teachers and students to enhance language teaching and learning effectiveness in an interactive manner.
Course Description
Our program provides courses for undergraduate students and continuing education
courses for students from neighboring communities. The program now offers courses
in the following categories.

The primary goal of this course is to reinforce graduate students'
English ability with a focus on developing academic writing skills.
● Continuing Education Courses
LTRC offers continuing education language classes and a friendly
English environment to members of the neighboring community. The goal
is to provide the members with a high-quality language learning
environment facilitated by NCTU's well-trained professional teachers.
2.Language Teaching and Research Center (LTRC) oversees the campus-wide English language and the second foreign language curriculum for domestic students, and the Chinese language program for international students, scholars and foreign professionals from companies at Hsinchu Science Park. In addition, LTRC also offers continuing education program for staff and community members who want to enhance their English skills or to learn a new language.
