In 1996, the Center for Teacher Education (CTE) was established to provide a comprehensive learning environment for prospective teachers. With tremendous honor, the Ministry of Education has ranked CTE as Taiwan's top Teacher Education Program for five times (1996, 1997, 2003, 2007, 2014). Based on such excellent foundation, the Institute of Education (IED) was established in 2001 to offer a variety of Master’s and Doctoral programs for the enhancement of professional teachers, researchers, and administrators.
The Institute of Education continuously strives to provide high quality teaching and research, in areas including Educational Psychology, Science Education, and e-Learning. Many of our faculty received significant international and national-wide awards in research and published in prestigious flagship journals, and have profound contribution in the teaching and learning practice.
