The applications of biotechnology in the medical, environmental, agricultural and energy issues have the potential to lift up people life and improve the world for future generations.
Biotechnology of the Post-genome Era is becoming the great scientific and economic minds about what we can expect from since in the 21st century. For incubating the biotechnologists with interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques in academic and industry, the Institute of Biological Science & Technology and the Department of Biological Science & Technology was founded at the National Chiao Tung University in 1994 and 1999, respectively.
