The College of Photonics pursuits outstanding research and educating including semiconductor optoelectronics device, optical detection, thin film technology, nano-electronic device, organic light-emitting materials, liquid crystal technology, biomedical imaging and signal processing, cutting-edge optical communication system and green energy technology. The College of Photonics pursuits outstanding research and educating including semiconductor optoelectronics device, optical detection, thin film technology, nano-electronic device, organic light-emitting materials, liquid crystal technology, biomedical imaging and signal processing, cutting-edge optical communication system and green energy technology. The college now includes 22 PhD students, 210 master students, 35 faculty members, 5 faculties with joint appointments and 5 adjunct faculties.
In research, the college devotes to X-Photonics cooperation to keep up with the nature of modern research, each faculty is funded more than 1.7 million NTD in average, publishes outstanding research articles on famous journals and conference.
