為實踐以卓越教學為標竿的治學理念，提昇教學品質與學習成效，並以培育新世紀專業、跨域領導人才為目標，特於教務處下設置「教學發展中心」。本中心提供教師專業成長諮詢培訓服務，建立完善教師評量機制，整合與建置教學資源，創造多元、深化、融合的學習環境，建立創新、彈性修課制度，促進教學精進與創新，並推動學生學習輔導措施。本中心期藉此營造良好師生間的教學與學習互動環境，並提升教師教學成效，進而帶動全校性教學專業發展，全面提升學生學習興趣與成效，以培養兼具專業能力、科學美學素養、人文關懷的精英，並能掌握當代思潮與未來先機，成為具國際移動力的跨領域人才。
本中心置主任一人，由校長聘請本校專任教授兼任之，綜理中心各項業務之推行，及設專案工作人員若干名，專責相關行政及資訊業務。
本中心掌理業務範圍包含：創新教學研發、教師專業培訓、教師評量、教學傑出獎評選、課程評量回饋策劃、學生學習增能等，以推動教學發展相關業務。
